Valentina Finazzi has several years of work experience in various roles. Valentina is currently working as a Laser System & Process Engineer R&D at Technoprobe since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Politecnico di Milano, where they served as a PhD Candidate in Mechanical Engineering from November 2018 to January 2022. During this time, they collaborated with the PhD program in Structural, Seismic, and Geotechnical Engineering and conducted research on the design and manufacturing of patient-specific NiTi stents using laser powder bed fusion process. At Politecnico di Milano, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant, supervising students and providing assistance in courses related to manufacturing technology and advanced manufacturing processes lab. Before their time at Politecnico di Milano, Valentina Finazzi worked as a Laboratory Assistant for a brief period in May 2018. Their earlier experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer and an Intern at Fonderia Maspero from November 2013 to July 2014.
Valentina Finazzi has an extensive education history. Valentina holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, which they obtained from 2018 to 2022. Prior to their PhD, Valentina pursued a Master of Science degree in a double degree program in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology from Politecnico di Milano between 2014 and 2018.
Before their master's degree, Valentina completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano from 2010 to 2014. Their educational journey began in high school, where they obtained a High School Diploma specializing in Science from the Istituto di istruzione superiore Decio Celeri in Lovere (BG) from 2005 to 2010.
In addition to their formal education, Valentina has also obtained several certifications. Valentina received certifications in Engineering Drawings for Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma Foundations from LinkedIn in November 2021. In May 2021, they completed a course on Python Basics offered by the University of Michigan through Coursera. Furthermore, Valentina obtained a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) at CEFR level C1 from Cambridge English Language Assessment in June 2010.
