Prescott Smith has a diverse background in various industries. Prescott started their career as a Marketing Intern at Arizona State University from September 2004 to May 2006. Prescott then worked at Strategic Alliance Marketing as an Event Marketing Manager, where they directed the management of all Event Marketers and Event Greeters at sporting venues from June 2006 to November 2008. Prescott joined Technical Solutions as a Project Manager in January 2009 and later became the Director of Community Outreach and Public Affairs from June 2014 to September 2018. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President at Technical Solutions starting from October 2018. In addition to their work at Technical Solutions, Prescott also served in the City of Scottsdale as a Development Review Board Member from September 2015 to December 2016 and as a Planning Commissioner from December 2016 to March 2021.

Prescott Smith completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Philosophy from Arizona State University, which they pursued from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended Brophy College Prep. from 1998 to 2002, where the specific degree and field of study are unknown. Later, Prescott pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Arizona State University, which they accomplished from 2011 to 2012.
