Nicola Giesecke currently serves as General Counsel at Aperian Global, overseeing the global legal function of the education technology company with a focus on contracts, regulatory compliance, security, privacy, and policy work, and reports directly to the CEO. As a Charter Member of TechGC, Nicola is part of an exclusive community for General Counsel, fostering knowledge sharing and support. Previous experience includes a judicial externship at Santa Cruz County Superior Court, a legal assistant role at NetApp focusing on cross-border technology licensing agreements, and a summer internship at the Mendocino District Attorney’s Office. Nicola's career began in sales at Pearson, where notable revenue targets were surpassed. Education includes a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
