Forrest Collier

Director Plant Operations at TEC

Forrest Collier has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Forrest started their career at Paging USA Inc. in 1992, where they served as a Systems Operations Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations and technical aspects of a wide area paging network.

In 1994, Collier joined Ram Technologies Inc. as the Vice President of Engineering, overseeing an engineering team and IT support. Forrest was responsible for RF design, system upgrades, and FCC licensing.

In 1999, Collier transitioned to Unity Communications after Unity acquired multiple telecommunications companies, including Ram Technologies. As the Vice President of Engineering, they managed paging and wireless operations across multiple states and aided in the integration of new companies into Unity.

Collier joined Cadence Design Systems in 2002 as a Program Manager, working closely with teams designing integrated circuits (ICs) for global customers. Forrest was responsible for overseeing multiple projects that formed larger programs.

In 2003, Collier moved to Freescale, where they served as the AMPD World Wide Program Controller IC Creation. In this role, they oversaw project management within the design organization, coordinating project reviews and developing a web-based project management tool.

Collier continued their work at Freescale Semiconductor in 2007 as the PMO Manager for the Analog and Multimedia Products Division. Forrest managed a team of 25 project managers supporting projects in the automotive and consumer space globally.

After their time at Freescale Semiconductor, Collier joined TEC - Telephone Electronics Corporation as an Operations Manager in 2008. Forrest was responsible for daily operations in six ILEC markets, managing special projects, and developing processes and procedures. In 2011, they were promoted to Director of Plant Operations, overseeing outside plant operations, OSP construction, and disaster recovery, among other responsibilities. Additionally, they managed the operations and production for a subsidiary of TEC, MRS Mail Express, a printing, processing, and mailing facility.

Throughout their career, Collier has demonstrated their ability to manage teams, oversee operations, and deliver successful projects.

Forrest Collier's education history begins with their completion of a General degree at East Carter High School from 1978 to 1982. Afterwards, they pursued further education at Ashland Vocational Technical School from 1982 to 1984, where they obtained an Associates degree in Electronics Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Forrest Collier has also obtained certifications. In 1984, they became a General Class Radio Operator through the Federal Communications Commission. Later, in 2007, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
