Luis F. Carvalho is a distinguished set and costume designer known for their work in prestigious theaters across Europe. Currently working at Teatro Real since January 2019 on the production "Idomeneo," Carvalho has an extensive portfolio that includes notable productions such as "Carmen" at Wuppertaler Bühnen, "Ein Maskenball" at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, and "Elektra" at Teatro Nacional de São Carlos. Experienced in both operatic and theatrical design, Carvalho has collaborated with renowned directors and musical directors, showcasing expertise in production design for opera and live performances. Their educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Womenswear Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art and a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Arts Design from Wimbledon School of Art.
