Dennis "Lynn" Ray began their career in 1979 when they joined the USAF as a Colonel, BSC (Retired). In 2000, they moved to KSJ & Associates, Inc. as a Program Manager, where they remained until 2013. During this time, they also worked at DHA as a Program Management Support. In 2013, they returned to KSJ & Associates, Inc. as a Program Manager. In 2017, they moved to Technology, Automation, and Management (TeAM), Inc. as a Program Manager and then retired later that year.

Dennis "Lynn" Ray obtained their Doctorate in Clinical Pharmacy from Creighton University between 1984 and 1986. Prior to that, they earned a BS in Pharmacy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center between 1973 and 1976.
