Dr. Anurag Mairal is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine and the Director, Global Outreach Programs at the Byers Center for Biodesign at Stanford University. He is also lead faculty for Technology Innovation and Impact at Stanford Center for Global Health. He is the co-founder and Executive Vice President of Orbees Medical, a global healthcare strategy consulting firm. Prof. Mairal has an extensive background in medical technology development and commercialization, collaborating with partners in the U.S., India, China, and other emerging markets. An alumnus of global health nonprofit PATH, he serves as the Chair of its Bay Area Leadership Council. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the IEEE Journal of Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine. His work has been published in more than 30 publications, and he has been issued seven patents.
