Katherine Lucie Paterson is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Associate at Teach For Australia since November 2021. Previously, Katherine held the position of Senior Criminal Lawyer at the NT Legal Aid Commission from January 2017 to November 2021 and was the Managing Criminal Lawyer for the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency Ltd from July 2019 to March 2020. Katherine's legal career also includes roles such as Associate to the Hon. Justice Jenny Blokland at the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory, Legal Assistant at the NSW Public Defenders Office, and various positions in legal research and paralegal work. Educationally, Katherine obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University, alongside a Master of Teaching (Secondary) from Australian Catholic University, which is expected to be completed in December 2023.
