Ray Mays, Jr. is an experienced educator and leader in the field of education, currently serving as the Director and Head of Leadership Development at Teach For America since July 2018. Prior roles include Lead Teacher at KIPP Bay Area Schools and Manager of Teacher Leadership Development for Teach For America - Mississippi. Earlier experience consists of teaching in the Sunflower County Consolidated School District and various roles focused on community engagement, including a Diversity Intern position at the Human Rights Campaign. Ray Mays, Jr. holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, earned in 2022.
