Liah L. Caravalho is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in external affairs, public relations, and communications strategy. Currently serving as the Senior Managing Director of External Affairs at Teach For America, Liah previously held the position of Senior Manager of External Communications at Tides, where responsibilities included crafting strategies that highlighted the organization's dedication to social justice. Prior to that, Liah was a Senior Communications Specialist at Mathematica, overseeing communications for executive staff and developing external dissemination plans for philanthropic partners. Earlier roles include significant positions at the Library of Congress, where Liah managed special events and external relations, and as an Outreach Presenter at Discovery Place, Inc., engaging with students through science education.
