Nishantha Udugama is an experienced broadcast engineer currently serving as the Western Regional Broadcast Engineer for TCT Network since August 2022, responsible for maintaining two multichannel transmitting stations in California. Previously, Nishantha held the position of Chief Engineer at KDOC-TV Los Angeles from March 2003 to August 2022, where responsibilities included managing technical and operations staff, overseeing a state-of-the-art television plant, and ensuring compliance with FCC regulations. Earlier experience includes a role as Broadcast Studio & Transmitter Engineer at Independent Television Network Srilanka from February 1985 to August 2001, focusing on system design, development, and training. Nishantha Udugama earned an Associate’s Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics Engineering from City and Guilds of London between 1985 and 1990.
