Sankaranarayanan "Shanky" Viswanathan is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the telecommunications and information services sectors. Since April 2008, Sankaranarayanan has served as Vice President, CTO, and Global Head of the Industry Advisory Group for the Communication, Media, and Information Services Business Unit at Tata Consultancy Services. Prior to this role, Sankaranarayanan held various leadership positions, including Global Head of the Communications Practice and Head of the Telecom Services Business Unit for North America at Tata Consultancy Services, as well as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Architecture and Solutions at Tata Teleservices. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Solutions Architect at Tata Teleservices Limited and Engagement Director at British Telecommunications Plc. Sankaranarayanan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with education from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, College of Engineering Guindy in Chennai, and University of Madras.
