Bertrand Honner has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Bertrand started their career as a Fund Raising Programme Officer for a housing project NGO in 2011. In 2014, they worked as a Business Development Officer and later as a Project Manager at KIC Europe, where they coordinated and managed promotional activities for a startup accelerator program.
In 2017, Bertrand attended a seven-month intensive web/mobile development bootcamp at BeCode.org, where they gained skills in front-end and back-end development, including Git, SASS, JavaScript/ES6, React.js, and Vue.js.
Bertrand then worked as a Vue.js Developer at Emakina and as a Frontend Developer at Brussels Airlines, where they built web applications and components from scratch using various JavaScript technologies.
In 2020, Bertrand joined Orange as a Frontend Developer, working on B2C, e-commerce, and forum platforms. Bertrand also collaborated with UI/UX designers on tailor-made solutions.
From 2021 to 2022, Bertrand worked as a React Developer for VisitBrussels, leading the front-end development of a mid-sized project.
In 2022, they joined Codat as a Software Engineer, focusing on two major micro-frontend projects. There, they built new features using React with TypeScript, Jest, and Cypress for unit testing and integration testing.
Currently, Bertrand is working as a Software Engineer at TaxScouts, starting in 2023.
Bertrand Honner started their education at Ichec Brussels Management School in 2010 and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management in 2013. Bertrand went on to pursue a Master's Degree at the same institution from 2013 to 2015, specializing in International Business and Management with a minor in European Perspectives.
In addition to their formal education, Bertrand has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they achieved certification in Git Master and Terminal User from BeCode.org. In 2018, they furthered their skills by completing certifications in AJAX, CSS3, JavaScript, Object Oriented Programming, and Problem Solver from BeCode.org. Bertrand also obtained certifications in Use JavaScript in your web projects and Learn to Code with JavaScript from OpenClassrooms in 2018.
