Ranya Hezam is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in the teaching and mentoring of English. Currently serving as the Director of Learning - English at Star Academies since August 2021, Ranya has also held roles as English Teacher and Deputy Director of Learning. Prior to this, Ranya worked with Teach First as a Secondary English Trainee Teacher and served as an Academic English Mentor at Erdington Academy under Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust, aiding students in recovering from educational setbacks. Additional experience includes roles in additional learning support at BMet and social media management at Sash Vitality and JC Social Media. Ranya holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) focused on Leadership in Learning Secondary and a BA (Hons) in English and Media from Birmingham City University.
