John Hartman has held a number of executive roles throughout their career. From 2012 to 2020, they were the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Tattarang. In 2020, they became the Chairman of R.M. Williams Pty Ltd. Additionally, they have held the role of Chief Investment Officer of the Minderoo Foundation since 2012.

John Hartman attended the University of Sydney from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Finance.
