Raj Manik is a Senior Manager in Quality Assurance at Tata Steel, with extensive experience in defect prediction and safety management. Since July 2021, Raj has led the development of an innovative prescriptive tool for defect prediction in Tube Manufacturing and co-authored a research paper on HF-ERW welded tubes, resulting in a filed patent. Previously, Raj served in roles including Quality Assurance Manager and Management Engineer Trainee at Tata Steel, contributing significantly to workplace safety and gaining insights into various manufacturing processes. Raj's research background includes a role as a researcher at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, focusing on NiTi Shape Memory Alloys and successfully filing a patent for a developed prototype. Additional internship experience includes work at TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited and the National Aluminium Company. Raj holds a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
