Martin Ashcroft is an accomplished leader in the chemical industry with extensive experience in various executive roles. Currently serving as President of the Chemical Industries Association, Martin also holds the position of Managing Director at Tata Chemicals Europe, where responsibilities have included manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and supply chain management. Past roles include being a Director at Kemax BV and Brunner Mond BV, and Martin has contributed significantly to business improvement initiatives, notably achieving a £15 million enhancement in bottom-line performance. Engagements in governance include serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees for The Learning Partnership and as a founding Board Member of Cheshire & Warrington LEP, where leadership included chairing the Audit Committee. Martin holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Manchester.
