Thomas Cartwright is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Leader of Field Engineering and Support at TasNetworks since March 2022, with prior roles including Asset Engineer. At Norske Skog, from April 2021 to March 2022, Thomas provided maintenance leadership in complex troubleshooting and capital improvement projects. Previously, as EEM/Electrical Superintendent at Glencore from July 2019 to April 2021, Thomas led a restructured team overseeing electrical engineering, maintenance, and safety functions at a large open-cut mine. Thomas's background also includes serving as Electrical Engineering Specialist at Bengalla Mining Company and holding multiple roles at Rio Tinto, where responsibilities ranged from Project Manager to Mine Electrical Engineer. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in Electrical Power from the University of Tasmania.
