Ephraim Balozi Mafuru is an experienced professional in marketing and management, currently serving as the Director General of the Tanzania Tourist Board since March 2024, focusing on destination marketing. Mafuru also contributes as a Board Member of the Sugar Board of Tanzania since August 2022, offering strategic guidance for the development of the domestic sugar industry. Previous roles include Managing Director at the Arusha International Conference Centre, Head of Corporate Affairs at Kilombero Sugar Company Limited, and Group Head of Sales at Illovo Sugar Africa. Mafuru's extensive career encompasses significant positions in marketing and sales management at major firms such as Serengeti Breweries and Vodacom Tanzania. Mafuru holds an MBA from the University of Dar es Salaam.
