Derek Johnson has been working in the gaming industry for over two decades. Derek started their career in 1995 as a Lead Programmer at Digital Image Design, where they worked until 1999. Derek then joined Argonaut as a Technology Manager from 1999 to 2004. In 2006, Derek joined Kuju Entertainment as a Senior Programmer until 2008. Derek is currently working at Tantalus Media as a Lead Programmer, a role they have held since 2008.

Derek Johnson has a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Computing Science with Honours from Staffordshire University.
