Mariano Larena currently serves as a Board Member at tameo since January 2021, contributing to the executive committee during the launch phase. Since March 2011, Mariano has been the Chief Executive Officer at Symbiotics Association for Sustainable Development, focusing on capacity building and technical assistance for impact investments aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. Previous roles at Symbiotics include Head of Impact Division, Head of Technical Assistance and Development Finance, and Senior Investment Manager of the Regional MSME Investment Fund for Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to that, Mariano was a Senior Consultant at E+M Consultants, specializing in the development and microfinance industry, and served as Regional Coordinator for Latin America at ProCredit Holding AG from 2003 to 2009. Mariano holds a Licenciado en Derecho (LL.M equivalent) from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, earned between 1977 and 1983.
