Sephera Giron's work experience begins in 2005 as a freelance writer, editor, and book doctor, handling over 400 books while developing characters, improving pacing, grammar, and punctuation. In 2013, they worked as a support worker, patient actor, and invigilator at Humber College. From 2015 onwards, they worked as an author for Crossroad Press, publishing horror novels with a mix of erotic romance and murder mystery elements. In 2016, they also worked as a background performer for Toronto Film Extras. In 2018, Giron became an instructor at Udemy and later at George Brown College in 2020. Sephera joined Riverdale Avenue Books in 2015 as an author, where their Witch Upon a Star series was reprinted, and new books in the series were released in 2017. Starting in 2022, Giron began working as a scriptwriter and game developer for Tales, with ongoing freelance work on a visual novel/interactive game titled "Four Witches and a Dude." In 2023, they joined Cousin Catnip as a game editor, writer, and developer.
Sephera Giron has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields of study. In 1982 to 1986, they attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts Studies, where they studied writing, film, music, dance, theatre, English, and psychology. In 1986 to 1987, they pursued journalism at Ryerson University but did not attain a degree.
Later, in 1996 to 1999, Sephera attended the School of Metaphysical Arts International and received a certificate in tarot, numerology, and astrology. Additionally, they obtained a certificate in Reiki from Natural Healing Arts Center between 1995 and 1998. In 1997 to 1998, they furthered their education at the same center with the completion of the Touch for Health program, focusing on touch for health, healing massage, and kinesiology.
Their educational pursuits expanded beyond traditional academic institutions. In 2011, they obtained a Private Investigator certification from Loss Prevention Services. Notably, they are also licensed as a Private Investigator by the Government of Ontario, although the exact institution issuing their SmartServe License is unknown.
Lastly, in 2022, Sephera Giron participated in the Stowe Story Labs Screenwriting Fellowship Program, focusing on playwriting and screenwriting.
