Uday Desai is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as Vice President of the Indian National Academy of Engineering since January 2023. Desai holds multiple chancellorships at The ICFAI University, Dehradun and Anurag University, while also acting as an Honorary Distinguished Professor at Plaksha and a Prof. Emeritus and Founding Director at IIT Hyderabad. Desai has extensive experience in strategic consultancy with the Telecom Standards Development Society of India and has held various academic roles, including Honorary Professor at Woosong University. With a specialization in Wireless Communication, Wireless Sensor Networks, Signal and Image Processing, and Tele-health, Desai has a strong educational background, including a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
