Smita Mehta is an experienced professional in clinical data management, currently serving as Associate Director of Clinical Data Management at Takeda since December 2020, where leadership is provided for two Phase III pivotal studies and management of external vendors. Prior to Takeda, Smita held the same title at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals from March 2017 to November 2020, and worked as an SSI Analyst for Takeda Oncology from September 2012 to March 2017, managing Phase III study startups and supporting multiple pivotal studies. Smita's career also includes roles at PAREXEL as Manager of Technical Operations, overseeing application developers for clinical trials, and at Phase Forward, Inc. as a Project Manager and Technical Consultant. Smita earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mumbai.
