Jessica Vieira, PhD, currently serves as Head of Value Chain Sustainability and Global Value Chain Environmental Sustainability Strategy Lead at Takeda since January 2023. Prior to this, Jessica held several roles at Apeel from July 2017 to January 2023, advancing from Director to Vice President of Sustainability. Earlier experience includes positions at UC Santa Barbara as a Graduate Student Researcher focusing on chemical life cycle assessments, an Environmental Technologies PhD Intern at Apple, and an Environmental Specialist at Dow Chemical. Jessica began professional work as a Research Assistant at Tufts University for the CAFEH Study. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master’s in Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara, alongside a Master of Science and bachelor's degree in Environmental Health Engineering from Tufts University.
