Yo Shibata has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of startups and entrepreneurship. In 2005, they worked as a Marketing Director and Founding Member at Alco Inc. (Japan). Yo then founded Code Start Inc. in 2010 and served as its CEO until 2011. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as an Associate at McKinsey & Company. In 2011, Yo founded Spotlight, Inc. (Japan) and held the role of Founder and CEO until 2015. Yo then co-founded Funds, Inc. in 2016 and Watashikampo, Inc. in 2017, where they currently hold the position of Co-Founder. Additionally, they are now working on a new startup project in the enterprise software sector as the Co-Founder of Tailor Inc. starting from July 2021.

Yo Shibata attended The University of Tokyo from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
