Hillmert Solano is an experienced professional in the field of petroleum engineering, currently serving as an ESG Data Specialist at Tachyus since October 2021, with prior roles as a Data Physicist, Customer Success Engineer, and Intern Customer Success Engineer. Previously, from November 2017 to October 2020, Hillmert worked as a Research Assistant at Dinámicas de Flujo y Transporte en Medios Porosos, where significant contributions included developing a new reservoir simulation model for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) applications and collaborating on FlowTraM, an advanced reservoir simulation tool. During an academic stint as a visitor at the University of Nottingham from October 2019 to February 2020, a modelling framework for nanoparticle transport in porous media was formulated, along with experimental protocols to investigate dynamics at the Darcy-scale. Hillmert holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, obtained in 2019 and 2017, respectively.
