Cody O'Meara has worked in a variety of engineering roles since 2014. Cody began their career as a Research Intern at NASA Langley Research Center, followed by a Research Intern position at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2015. In 2016, they held a Research Fellow role at The Ohio State University, where they worked on Li-ion batteries. In 2017, they were a NASA Pathways Intern at NASA Glenn Research Center, and in 2018 they were a Project Engineer at Nexceris, LLC. Most recently, they have been a Principal Engineer & Technical Program Manager at Acculon Energy since 2022.
Cody O'Meara earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2016. Cody then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, which they completed in 2018. In addition, they have obtained certifications such as a Lean Six Sigma White Belt from NASA Glenn Research Center in October 2017, NASA's Safety & Mission Assurance Technical Excellence Program (STEP) Level 1 from NASA Glenn Research Center in October 2017, and Competent Person Fall Protection Training from TomKat Safety, LLC in September 2017.
