In 2009, Paula left Scholastic to join A+E Networks as a Content Project Manager for Biography.com and Theirtory.com. Paula managed a team of content developers and was responsible for creating a strategic content matrix that identified which content to keep, kill, create, or license. Paula also led the implementation of content categorization and tagging in the company's new CMS. In 2013, Paula moved to Kidstream, where they served as a Project Manager for the company's web and mobile redesign with deep social media integration and simultaneous CMS migration.

Paula Freedman's educational career began with their obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University at Buffalo. Paula then went on to earn a Master of Science in Publishing from Hidden in protest.
