Alan Pillar is a seasoned mechanical designer with extensive experience in the telecommunications and high-tech industries. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Syntronic, Alan has contributed to numerous projects from proof of concept through to production design and implementation. Previous roles include key positions at Ciena, Obotics Inc., and DragonWave Inc., where Alan designed critical components and systems for various optical networking solutions. Alan's career began in the early 1980s at Bell Northern Research, progressively advancing through various prominent firms while developing expertise in product design, CAD/CAM systems, and mechanical component prototyping. Alan holds a diploma from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and further leadership training from Christopher Leadership.
