Heiko Häckel has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Heiko started their career as an Army Officer in the Bundeswehr from 1991 to 1997. Heiko then joined Siemens in 2002, where they served as a Service Support Engineer until 2005 and later became a Project Manager until 2007. Heiko then joined Bombardier and took on various roles including Business Growth Manager from an unspecified date in 2013 until February 2016, Technical Sales from March 2016 to October 2016, and finally Project Manager from November 2016 to August 2017. Heiko subsequently joined SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit (formerly Interfleet) as a Senior Consultant from September 2017 to April 2019. Heiko later joined Transport Consultancy Group Nordic in April 2019, where they worked as a Senior Consultant until June 2021. Currently, they are employed at Syntell AB as a Senior Consultant from July 2021.

Heiko Häckel completed their education at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft from 1997 to 2002. Heiko obtained a degree in Manufacturing Engineering with a major in Railway vehicle technology, receiving the Diploma certification from the same institution.
