Jeremy Hitchcock has been building mission driven companies, teams, and ecosystems from New Hampshire and Greater Boston for the past 20 years. Today, he is a co-founder and partner of New North Ventures, an early stage VC investing in dual use companies at the intersection of national security and commerce.

From a Worcester Polytechnic Institute dorm room in 2001, Jeremy founded Dyn, an Internet infrastructure through the global routing/DNS system. After graduating with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and growing Dyn to 500 people, $100mm of ARR, and raising $100mm of growth capital, Jeremy left as CEO in 2016. The company was acquired by Oracle in 2017.

Jeremy’s second company is Minim, an AI-driven WiFi management and IoT security platform to make everyone's connected home safe and easy to use. Minim provides operators and their subscribers with cutting-edge fingerprinting, security and network control. The company was inspired by the famous Mirai DDoS against Dyn in 2016 which temporarily disabled parts of the Internet. That attack was the largest DDoS ever and launched from IoT devices. In 2019, he tapped his former COO Gray Chynoweth from Dyn to become CEO and join many fellow Dyn alumni. The company went public and became listed on NASDAQ in 2021 and is chairman of the board.

His global impact has earned him numerous awards including recognition as a 2016 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, Inc. 500 and Deloitte Fast 500 rankings. He has also received an honorary doctorate from the University System of New Hampshire and Rivier University for his effort on workforce and economic development. He was a WPI Innovator of the year in 2015 and a University of New Hampshire 2019 Holloway Entrepreneur of the Year.

He is passionate about building revenue first growth companies, making a faster + safer internet, and expanding work-based learning. He serves on the board of trustees at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and formerly of the Community College System of New Hampshire, where he served as its chairperson for three years. He also has served as a trustee of Southern New Hampshire University and Chester College.

An active angel investor with his wife Liz, together they are focused on building a vibrant community, where they opened an independent bookstore in Manchester, NH in 2018 called Bookery Manchester.
