Fiona Maclaughlin joined JJDC in 2020 bringing >25 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, primarily in founding and financing early stage life science companies as well as operations/R&D. Previously she was Director at Inkef Capital where she led and managed a series of investments in biopharma/medtech companies, and an Associate at Advent Life Sciences where she co-founded Arrakis Therapeutics. Her interest in innovation arose from her previous roles in the Technology Transfer Division of the Wellcome Trust when she established and ran the £45M “R&D for Affordable Healthcare” fund supporting technology development opportunities in India and helped establish the Hilleman Laboratories, and from advising life science companies about sourcing non-dilutive capital.
