Rick Thorington has over 25 years of work experience in database architecture, development, and administration. Rick started their career as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at MCI in 1995 and played a key role in replacing multiple billing applications with a centralized client-server application.

In 2004, Rick joined Fiserv Insurance Solutions as a Lead Data Analyst, where they analyzed legacy data and designed and implemented database data flow and business logic code. Rick also served as a technical architect, participating in architecture decisions and design reviews.

From 2008 to 2011, Rick worked at TitanTV Media as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they managed and re-architected ETL processes and developed ETL, data warehouse, and reporting for advertising billing. Rick also improved the reliability, accuracy, and value of data through effective management of the data vendor relationship.

In 2010, Rick joined Kivetta Software as a Senior Database Architect, where they played a key role in designing and developing a SAAS spend-management solution for schools. Rick also managed offshore development and provided guidance in architecture and project management.

Currently, Rick works at Syncbak, Inc. as a Senior Engineer, where they are responsible for architecting and developing database business logic, workflow, and ETL processes. Rick also manages the migration of databases to the cloud.

Rick Thorington has obtained an MBA degree with a specialization in Finance from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. However, no specific dates were provided for their enrollment or completion of the program.
