Yolanda F Otero, PhD, currently serves as the Metabolic Health Senior Scientific Manager at Symrise AG, a role commenced in September 2024. Previously, Otero held multiple positions at Valbiotis from November 2017 to September 2024, including Scientific Affairs Manager and Preclinical Research Manager, where responsibilities involved coordinating R&D lab activities, managing lab budgets, and providing guidance to research teams. Otero's background includes significant research experience as a Research Fellow at Université Blaise Pascal and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on insulin sensitivity and metabolic health in various models of disease. Otero earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, alongside a Master's degree in Physiology and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad de Oviedo.
