Elaine Dorsey, MEd, EdS, PHR has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Elaine began their career as the President of HR Strategies, where they developed customized training programs for major corporations and small businesses. Elaine then moved on to work at CH2M HILL as the Corporate Human Resources Manager, overseeing HR, training, and safety for multiple laboratory locations. Elaine then joined Island Global Yachting as the Corporate Director, Human Resources, where they managed all aspects of HR globally. Elaine also held the role of Director, Compensation and Performance Management at Island Global Yachting, where they developed HR systems and processes and designed corporate training programs. Following that, they worked at Holiday Retirement as the Corporate Director Compensation, HRIS, and Payroll, where they managed compensation, HRIS, and payroll systems. Their role involved planning and implementing new compensation programs and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. At the University of Florida, Elaine worked as the Assistant Director for Employer Relations, where they established relationships with employers, developed marketing strategies, and assisted employers in developing their on-campus presence. Most recently, they worked at Symplicity Corporation as a Quality Assurance Engineer and Client Relationship Manager, performing software testing and analysis and serving as a consultant to career centers.

Elaine completed their undergraduate studies at Loyola University New Orleans from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education.

Elaine furthered their education by attending the University of Florida from 1980 to 1982. During this time, Elaine earned both a Master's of Education (MEd) and an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education.

To enhance their customer service skills, Elaine completed several certification programs with Dale Carnegie Training. In 2015, they obtained certifications in Active Listener, Level 2, Customer Focused, Level 1 and 2, and Outstanding Customer Service.
