Jerome Folli has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jerome currently holds the position of Director Product Security - Head of Architecture at Symphony since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Architect at Symphony in 2022 and as a Lead Technical Architect from April 2020 to December 2021.
Before joining Symphony, Jerome worked at Amadeus from 2013 to 2020. Jerome held various roles including Manager, Application Foundations for Cloud, Architect, Application Foundations for Cloud, Architect, API management & Web Services, Manager, Web Services Infrastructure, and Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Amadeus, they focused on cloud migration, operational mindset shift, API management, and delivery of stable and scalable web services.
From 2008 to 2013, Jerome worked at Astek where they held the positions of External Unit Manager for Amadeus - APIv2 Development and APIv2 Technical Leader for Amadeus. Jerome was responsible for the APIv2 activity, the main entry point for customers to connect to Amadeus central system. Jerome also worked as a .NET architect for Schneider Electric during this time.
Jerome's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Centria Commerce from 2005 to 2007, as a .NET Software Consultant at Interface pour la Police Nationale in 2004, and as a Teacher in computer science at Universite Toulon-Var from 2000 to 2004. Jerome began their career as a Software Developer at GECI in 1999.
Jerome Folli obtained a Baccalaureate in Science from Ecole Notre-Dame in 1993. Jerome then pursued a DEA in Cryptography at Universite Toulon-Var from 1993 to 2000. Following this, Jerome completed their PhD (level) in Watermarking (computer science) at Universite Toulon-Var from 2000 to 2004. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained AWS Concepts and AWS Essentials certifications from Linux Academy in February 2020. Additionally, Jerome holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in April 2016.
