Derrick Gachiri, CFA, is an experienced finance professional with a specialization in interest rates trading and portfolio management. Currently serving as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Symmetry Investments since November 2019, Derrick focuses on Interest Rates Relative Value and Balance Sheet strategies across EURs. Prior roles include serving as an Interest Rates Trader at ING, with a focus on Government Bond and SSA desks, and at Morgan Stanley on the Euro Government Bond Desk. Derrick also has experience in Interest Rates Sales at Danske Bank, covering hedge funds in the U.K., and began a career in public finance as a Placement Student at HM Treasury. Derrick holds a Master of Science in Risk Management and Financial Engineering from Imperial College Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from City, University of London.
