Asavari Mehra has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2014, they worked as a Project Intern at the Office of the New York City Public Advocate. In 2016, they interned for the Restitution Department & Books Department at Christie's. Asavari gained experience in finance as a Finance Intern at Stabilis Capital Management, LP in 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Gallery Intern at Aicon Gallery and as a Venture Capital Intern at Rho Ventures. Asavari also served as the President of The Carnegie Club of St Andrews during that time. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as the Director of Operations at MomentumSOSV. Most recently, they have been working as a Strategy & Development Consultant at Syllable since 2022.

Asavari Mehra began their education in 2003 at the International School of Zug and Luzern, where they studied but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Asavari then went on to attend the University of St Andrews from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Philosophy.
