Meghan Akers is an accomplished talent acquisition leader and founding member at Syelo Ventures, contributing to a collective that invests in top technology companies since December 2024. Currently serving as the Talent100 Talent Acquisition Leader at HIGHER Community, Meghan also operates as Principal at Meghan Clare Consulting since January 2017. Previous experience includes roles at Imply, where responsibilities included Senior Director of Recruiting and other directorial positions, as well as recruiting leadership at Inkling and senior technical recruitment at Lyric and Brightloom. Meghan's earlier career includes recruitment roles at LendUp, focusing on both business and technical sourcing. Meghan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology & Archaeology from Saint Mary's College of California and has a general diploma from New Trier Township High School in Winnetka.
