Sean Murphy is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Sycamore Partners since July 2024. Sean's extensive background also includes a tenure as Vice President at BlackRock from March 2014 to September 2019, as well as work as a Financial Services Associate at Dechert LLP from October 2010 to March 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as an Attorney at Fidelity Investments from October 2009 to October 2010 and as an Analyst at Northrop Grumman Corporation from June 2005 to August 2006. Sean Murphy earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Economics from The College of William and Mary.
