Nitin Baliga is currently an advisor at Syapse. Nitin has previous experience as the Director of Integrative Biology at the Institute for Systems Biology, an Associate Professor at the University of Washington, and a Berkeley Lab. Nitin also has experience in bioinformatics and systems biology from their time at BMC Bioinformatics, Nature Scientific Data, and BMC Systems Biology. Additionally, they have experience in education from their time at Systems Education Experiences. Finally, they have experience in climate solutions from their time at Climate Solutions.

Nitin Baliga graduated with a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Mumbai University. Nitin then went on to earn an M.Sc. in Marine Biotechnology from Goa University. Finally, they earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
