Jim Lupica

Founding & Managing Partner at Stratos Wealth Partners

Jim Lupica is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Stratos Wealth Partners, a firm that he helped Jeff Conception launch in October 2008. Today, Stratos specializes in the practice and performance of financial planning and implementation services. The firm has a national network of distinguished, experienced financial planning practitioners spread throughout the country, all powered by LPL Financial. As the managing partner of Stratos Wealth Partners Jim’s responsibilities include Branch Manager of the Akron Office and Newport, VA Office. Jim is responsible for the acquisition, development and coaching of the firm’s expanding number of affiliated advisors from across the nation.

Prior to starting Stratos Wealth Partners, Jim spent 36 years in the investment business. For the past 17 years Jim was Managing Director for Wachovia Securities Akron Complex which included 6 offices with over 75 employees. Prior to that Jim spent 10 years as Managing Partner of Kidder Peabody’s Cleveland Office. Jim started his career in 1973 as a stockbroker at Paine Weber which led to Vice President & Sales Manager of the Cleveland Office.

Jim earned his bachelor of business administration from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College. He has also completed specialized securities industry training at The Wharton School of Management.

Jim has been very active in his local community serving on the board of Celebration Church in Akron. Jim has been Vice President of The Echo Hills Homeowners Association. He has been involved with fundraising efforts for the Akron Symphony and the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland. Jim served for 15 years on the board of Evangel University where he was Vice Chairman of the board. Jim has served in various positions on the Board of Emerge Ministries in Akron for the past 18 years. Additionally, Jim is involved with Royal Family Kids Cap of Akron, OH. Jim resides in Brecksville, OH with his wife, Sandy. They have four adult children and two grandchildren.
