Mariana Ascenção currently serves as the Global Communications Director at Sword Health, a position held since November 2021. Prior to this role, Mariana had an extensive tenure at Uber from February 2017 to November 2021, progressing from Communications Manager to Head of Communications, overseeing operations in multiple countries including Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, and Israel. Mariana's earlier experience includes roles as Communication Coordinator at Farfetch, Communications Specialist at Sonae, and a collaboration with JP Inspiring Knowledge, Intel, and the University of Porto's Science School. Mariana began a career in media as an Intern Journalist at TVI. Educational credentials include a Strategic Communication Program from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and a licenciatura in Ciências da Comunicação with a focus on Journalism, Advisory, and Multimedia from Universidade do Porto.
