Rachel Mullinnix is the current President at Swope Art Museum. Prior to that, they served as the Affiliate Relations Coordinator at Wabash Valley Community Foundation from March 2015 to October 2016. In that role, they provided donor service for donors in affiliate foundations, Sullivan and Clay Counties. Rachel also coordinated five philanthropic groups with more than 500 members, resulting in $200,000 in annual giving. Additionally, they promoted giving opportunities through press releases, direct mailing and social media. Rachel served as the point of contact for the affiliate foundations and philanthropic groups. And they aided in the successful completion of $2 million challenge grant from Lilly Endowment.
From May 2012 to July 2013, Mullinnix worked as a College Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. In that role, they educated clients with financial advice about life, health, and disability insurance. Rachel also built client list through referrals, personal contacts and cold calls. Lastly, they attended weekly professional-development meetings to further knowledge of the insurance and sales field.
Mullinnix served as a Program Coordinator at Chances And Services for Youth from May 2013 to March 2015. After that, they became an AmeriCorps Member at AmeriCorps from October 2011 to May 2013.
Rachel Mullinnix's educational career includes a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, a Graduate Certificate in Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Indiana State University. Rachel also has certification from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in Certificate in Fund Raising Management and from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in Certified Nonprofit Professional.
