Michael Herold has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Michael started their career in 2010 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn University and worked there until 2012. Michael then joined Green Dot Public Schools as a Physics Teacher from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they transitioned into the tech industry as a Software Developer at BuildZoom, where they were responsible for software development in Ruby and Python, database management, and frontend development with AngularJS. Michael worked at BuildZoom until 2017. From 2017 to 2021, Michael worked as a Software Developer at Toptal. In this role, they gained expertise in software development. Most recently, they joined CB Insights in 2021 as a Software Engineer and eventually moved to the role of Senior Rails Engineer at SwoopMe, Inc. in 2022.

Michael Herold attended the University of Southern California from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master's Degree in Solid-State Physics at Auburn University.
