Rainer Egloff is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and academia. Currently serving as Senior Risk Manager and Senior Emerging Risk Manager at Swiss Re since January 2012, Rainer possesses a diverse background that includes roles as a researcher, lecturer, academic manager, and consultant at Ludwik Fleck Zentrum and Collegium Helveticum from October 2002 to June 2016. Rainer also held lecturer positions at the University of Zurich and worked as a Scientific Advisor for the Swiss Science and Technology Council. Early professional experience includes significant roles in libraries, archives, and the book trade at Ribaux AG and Schweizerisches Sozialarchiv from 1986 to 2002. Rainer's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in History from the University of Zurich, further studies at the University of Chicago and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, as well as a Federal Diploma in Book Selling from Berufslehre bei Ribaux AG.
