Sofiane S. is an accomplished Program Manager and Scientist at the Swiss Data Science Center since January 2017, and a Lecturer at EPFL, where a hands-on course in large-scale data science is taught to Master's students. Prior experience includes serving as Project Manager and Infrastructure Architect at EPFL, overseeing projects in scientific data storage and cloud infrastructure, and holding positions as Scientist and Project Leader focused on distributed information systems and big data analytics. Prior to these roles, Sofiane S. worked as an IT Project Manager at JQS Investment Advisors and was a Research Assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology EPFL during the PhD studies in Computer Science, which were completed in 2006. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from EPFL, a Postgraduate Certificate in Virtual Reality and Multimodal Interaction, and an MSc in Computer Science from Université des Sciences et de la Technologie 'Houari Boumediène'.
