Melissa Waller currently serves as President of the AIF Institute, where oversight includes four Centers of Excellence focused on institutional investor education. Waller is also the Executive Program Director at the National Institute of Public Finance, Director of Public and Private Partnerships at the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, and a Board Member at IperionX, which develops sustainable mineral supply chains. Additionally, Waller is Founder and CEO of Arête Innovative Resources, offering strategic consulting in the institutional investment sector, and serves on the Advisory Board of Sweetwater Private Equity and the LEAP Advisory Board at Mercer. Prior leadership roles include Deputy Treasurer and Chief of Staff for the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer and Senior Policy Advisor and Director of Communications at Wachovia. Waller holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
