Petar Shomov

Petar Shomov has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Petar started their career in 1998 as a Software Developer at InTechna Ltd., where they worked on a project to organize and synchronize inventory. Petar then moved on to DecArt Ltd., where they developed a jukebox software. In 1999, they joined EUROSYS Ltd. as a Software Developer and contributed to the development of an automated system for remote analysis and control of district central heating systems.

In 2000, Petar joined FRISK Software International as a Senior Software Developer. Petar played a significant role in rewriting the installation program for F-Prot antivirus and developed the initial versions of F-Prot Antivirus for Exchange. In 2006, they joined Industria as a Software Developer and was a part of the core architecture team developing an integration solution for telecoms.

From 2008 to 2014, Petar worked at Sprettur as a Software Developer and Coach, and they co-founded the company. In 2014, they co-founded Kolibri and worked as a Co-Founder/Product Developer. In 2015, they joined Activity Stream Inc. as a Senior Software Developer and later became the VP of Engineering and Ops.

In 2019, Petar co-founded Andes ehf. and became a Certified Cloud Practitioner. Currently, they are working at Sweeply as the Chief Technology Officer. Their responsibilities include advancing delivery capabilities, enhancing the company's security posture, and researching and adopting new technology to support the development of new features and capabilities.
